Named 'City of Chicago' it served with 108th AFRES, Illinois Air Guard. The type remained in srvice until 1977.

Ser.58-6970 was one of three specially equipped Presedential and VIP transports purchased in 1959 and were the first jets to be used in these roles. Call Sign 'Air Force One' with the President aboard it preceeded the better known Blue and white painted version that followed.

Boeing C-97G Stratofreighter 52-2718 was one of only two flying C-97's left when bought by the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation to serve as a flying memorial and classroom teaching the history of the Cold War. It was repainted in the colours of the'Angel of Deliverance', the sole C-97 to take part in the airlift.
